… but a militant, according to the BBC that is.
Lashkar-e-Toiba is always mentioned as a militant group operating in Kashmir wherever there’s a reference to the term in BBC News or on the BBC website. This, even after tons of data is present that LeT is involved in many terrorist activities in India. The funnier thing is that the United States itself refers to the LeT as a terrorist group. Even funnier, the recent plan to hijack many airlines which was busted by UK security forces was organised by members with links to the LeT and the JuD.
In fact, most Western media groups refer to the LeT and a host of other terrorist organisations as militants fighting for freedom while the openly stated objective of the LeT, in fact, is to establish Islamic rule in all of South Asia i.e., make India into as Islamic state. How they intend to achieve that goal, we all know.
Of course, if the LeT attacks British or American or Spanish people, it’ll be soon dubbed as a terrorist organisation. For example, after the Mumbai 7/11 blasts, the BBC regarded it as an internal security problem – the same old “Kashmiri freedom fighters” funda. Scumbags who killed closed to 200 innocent people didnt deserve the word terrorist but militant. But remember New York 9/11, London 7/7 and Madrid 3/11 when the word terrorist was used so liberally?
Maybe the recent plane hijacking attempt should’ve become successful. Maybe then, the BBC and the rest of the Western media will realize the true nature of the LeT.

The use of the term is merely company policy. I just came back today and will mail you some links. BBC has a policy of not using the word terrorist for any ‘terrorist’ organisation as the word is described as a pejorative…
gimme some time…will get back to you on this..
